Indian Feast in Greece

We had to eat on the early side in this rather upscale Indian joint in a scary part of Athens. Even though it was a little before 7 pm we were still the only ones in the restaurant. Judging from the staff's reactions to us, guess the Greeks eat their evening meal much later. Food was really good — even though we had to eat while sitting on pillows on the floor.

Greek Island Fare

Had a wondeful meal along the beach on Santorini's quieter East coast today. Although I have to admit the cuttle fish looks better than it tasted - a little bland. But still the whole setting was such a pleasant experience. The woman serving us was also a part owner of the restaurant, and was originally from Chicago; She visited back when she was in college, and never left, marrying a local greek islander and settling down. Pretty Idyllic.
